I did fix it, thanks to two very helpful videos out of scores of many. So, guess what I did? I watched a video on how to fix the black screen. Not a surprise, since at any given time I have umpteen number tabs open in at least 3 browsers (you can get a glimpse of this in the Coschedule review gifs), and sometimes I force close the system.
